First ‘M A Rashid Research Grant’ Recipients Announced: A New Milestone
Haematology Society of Bangladesh (HSB) is committed to developing haematology as a discipline by promoting research and innovation in the field of Haematology. In line with that, HSB has launched a prestigious new funding programme called ‘M A Rashid Research Grant’ for haematologists of Bangladesh. This noble initiative aims to support and inspire cutting edge research in the field of Haematology in Bangladesh.

Two eminent haematologists received the first-ever ‘M A Rashid Research Grant’ this year. The award recipients are: Dr. Mohammad Ali, Assistant Professor of Haematology, National Institute of Cancer Research & Hospital (NICRH) and Dr. Md. Akhlak-Ul Islam, Resident, MD (Haematology), Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU). The grant was handed over to the awardee by Professor Mahbubur Rahman (President, HSB), Professor Md. Abdul Aziz (General Secretary) & Professor Masuda Begum (Department of Haematology, BSMMU). This is indeed a new milestone achieved under the aegis of the current Haematology Society of Bangladesh (HSB).
